Hey guys my 1990 seems to have all kinds of rattles and the doors seem like they are loose as if not closed properly.

Any suggestion?

Hmm, I did and didn't see one specifically for convertibles. If you would be so kind as to paste a link I would appreciate it.

 

Doors are doors. There is no difference between hardtop, t-top, or convertible doors. Did a quick search for your thread title, "Door rattles" and here you go:

hmm, not according to this post and it's what I was looking for as mine seems to be missing the wedges although I see 2 holes for them.

Correct the Door wedges are for T-top and Convertible models. It transfers the load from the bottom of the car to higher on the doors to reduce body flex. If you remove them on a T-top or Convertible your door jams will get beat to crap, I am not sure anything good would come of it. One time I did not have my drivers door all the way closed and I could really hear the door beating and feel the car flexing as I drove down the road. I want to put them on a hardtop personally.

Throw some new door/window seals on it........you'd be amazed what rattles disappear.

 

The Wedges will help too... someone might have taken them out because they were binding... But you can get them from any 82-92 T-top or Convertible in the junkyard... Some places might not even charge you...

There are spacers too... get those... You might have to get a couple to get enough spacers.

 

A big problem with these is the rubber stopper on the bottom of the window metal frame rots off and allows the window to go to far down and out of the upper felts..
I just replaced the rubber stopper on my 89 vert.

 

Replaced the door seals and bumpers on the outside of the doors from replacements from Hawks, huge improvement!!

Also dug into the inner window bumper at the bottom and they were gone and in chunks in the door. Drilled out the rivets holding them on. Ordered those as they are on the way along with a window felt bracket as one on the drivers door is missing it. Also a new handle as the drivers door one rattles when you close it.
