Here's the deal..I've been gone from the boards for quite a while now... I used to be very active on them . I have sold this top frame on two separate occasions and have boxed and shipped it both times and have had it returned both times.... not because something was wrong with it, but because it required a signature for pickup and no one ever signed for it at the other end. neither previous buyer wanted to pay to ship it again so here it is. UPS shipping calculator shows $243 to ship it. That's considerably higher than what I paid to ship it the last 2 times. Both times it was near $150. I remember it showing high on their website last time too. I'll check into it and get a firm answer.

 

I think it was like 85 pounds when I shipped it last time. For a box of this size the available weight is up to 167 pounds before there are additional charges and I know it's WAY below that.

 

To be honest I truly don't remember. I bought 3 of them for a steal back in the day and have just been sitting on them forever. I think I've had it for over 7 years. My guess would be that it's off of 87-89, but no promises at all. I didn't take them off of the cars they came from either so I never saw the car to know for sure either.

UPDATE :

I'D LIKE TO CLOSE THIS OUT ON/AROUND MAY 15TH. THAT'S 1 DAY SHORT OF 1 MONTH FROM THE POSTING. I'd like to do this because I work a swing style shift and I have the 21st-23rd of May off and that gives the 1st name picked 1 week to respond and that way I can ship it on my days off.

ALSO:

If your name is picked and shipping is outrageous and you don't want to do it I'm perfectly happy moving to the next guy. I'm not trying to jam anyone up here. I know shipping prices have gone crazy over the last few years and this is an exceptionally big piece to be shipping. I know for a fact that it was about $150 to ship the last 2 times I sent it. I looked it up today and the UPS calculator shows about $250 but it has always shown higher than anything I have ever shipped. Keep that in mind tho. about 2 weeks left. thank you all for the interest. it will be nice to free up some space in the garage for the move. like I said before, the guys/gals who are close are absolutely more than welcome to pick it up and those with UPS shipping accounts or FedEx shipping accounts can certainly use those if they get it. it's good to know that it's going to go to a good home.

sorry for the delay guys. our family business was burglarized the night before last and I've been mildly distracted by that. I'll jump on this evening and get all the names together and get us a winner!

Digging thru some stuff after the burg i found more things i won't be using and will do this again but probably only a week long next time...this was waaay too long!
