Goodbye for now
Just wanted to pop my head in here real quick and say it's been a pleasure getting to know all of you fellow convertible geeks. After 14 years and lots of fun times I sold my car to a guy in South Dakota last week. So for the first time since I was 15 yrs old, I have no third Gen (or any Fbody for that matter). Someday I'll be back but for now I'm doing this thing called "adulting", where my garage consists of more fuel conscious vehicles for my daily commute.

Congrats on the sale. I have been without mine for about 3 years now. I can't say I miss it. Enjoy your new found freedom aka "adulting"

You will be back. I was out for 4 years and never really came here until a couple months ago. I missed this place AND an fbody so much that I bought another. Car in sig is long gone.

I've only had my car a couple of years now but I see you have been a long time third gen and member of this forum. Where ever the road takes you, I wish you the best.

Re: Goodbye for now
That must have been a tough decision BlueZee; she's beautiful. I am facing a tough decision as well. I bought my new IROC-Z in 1988 and she has been a part of my family ever since (my homepage has the story). Regrettably, I think its best for the two of us to part ways so I just need to determine how and how much.

Re: Goodbye for now
Well-hopefully you will be back. I understand the decision, but still, I think you will regret it. Much like you, I have had my third gen since High school. Through my first years of marriage and fatherhood, my priorities changed and I was forced to let her sit in the garage, and thought about selling. Years later, when I was able to enjoy a hobby again, I was thankful I did not get rid of the old third gen, and I was able to enjoy the car again. In the relative scheme of things, the few dollars I would have made selling it was not worth it. Everyone's situation is different, but I hope you will be able to re-acquire that car at some point.
Good luck, and I hope you make it back here.
