A Pillar Moldings

Hi all, I am looking for a new pair of a pillar moldings for my 89 vert. I bought a pair from classic industries that were listed as being for vert and ttops but when I received them they were completely different. On rights sight they show the same ones I bought from classic as being for vert also.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Could the HT pieces fit if trimmed accordingly?

No. The A Pillar parts are different between Verts and HT's. If Sonic1971 doesn't want the ones you have I am interested in them if they are black. What's your price?

My 89 just looks like factory ttop parts that have been cut down and screwed on the A pillar. Am I missing something?

Re: A Pillar Moldings

I'll assume they are black. Is the foam attached and in good condition?

Re: A Pillar Moldings

They are black. There are no cracks or damage to them. The foam needs to be replaced on both of them.

Re: A Pillar Moldings

Also there arent any noteworthy scratches or anything like that. I think it’d probably be hard to find a cleaner set than these ones. Let me know if you want me to take some pics. Thanks!

Re: A Pillar Moldings

Appreciate the contact. Mine are in good shape but I have had trouble finding a foam to work on the back side that seals properly. The foam is my motivation for trying to find an NOS piece or ones that have weathered better than mine. With foam issues, I am not interested in purchasing yours. Sorry.

Re: A Pillar Moldings

No no worries at all. I wish I could find a NOS set or at least the correct style foam. Hawks makes repop ttop pillars with foam but they won’t sell the foam separately unfortunately. Last I spoke to him, Lon at Top Down Solutions was looking in to making replacement foam. Might be worth it to check in with him. Let us know if you Find anything out!

Re: A Pillar Moldings

The funny thing about this all is that Hawks has access to a similar type of foam that they use on their repop a pillars. They won’t sell the foam separately unfortunately. If we could find out who their supplier was, many of us could restore our original ones. But a lot of them will have cracked tabs on the back from people trying to remove them incorrectly.

Re: A Pillar Moldings

I wish they would juat sell the roll of foam so we can remove and restore our originals if they’re still in good shape otherwise.
