Top options - lined with glass?
Does anyone make a lined (double layer top) with a glass window?

Called topdown, he said to call topsonline. They said I would need to replace my 89 frame with a 90-93 frame to be able to run a headliner
I wonder if the headliner improves the insulation and sound reduction much/

The headliner used is a two parter. It mostly hides the frame work, seems like.I dont think its wraps around the window completely and its made for the plastic window w/ the glass version being much smaller.I would guess there'd be a (larger) gap between the HL/window, but then again maybe topsonline could make you one to fit.Since the offer the glass window as an option.I cant imagine it offers much insulation/noise reduction. It fits kinda loose.Nothing like the HT liners, but ive only seen a couple of them though.
I have one i pulled from a wrecked one, supposedly an 89, but i never verified.Regardless, ima try to fit it to my 89 when i get a new top.It attaches just below the rr window/sail panel with a small bolt already on the frame per side, plus under the verticle seal at the rear of the door window. Then also at the very front under a flat bar with some 12 screws or so.So i dont see why one couldnt make it fit earlier frames, but who knows.TOL sells them for $160, take a gamble.Im too cheap to try.

My 91 has a headliner and I don't think it helps with noise at all. It does do a nice job of hiding the frame though. It probably insulates a tad, any time you have a air gap between it will have some insulation quality.
