Trunk motor on 91-92?
I have a ‘91 TA vert, and me and another guy were wondering if anyone had added a trunk pull down motor to these cars. Also if anyone had added a stronger strut or anything to “pop” the trunk when the key is turned, since it’s a pain sometimes to open when your hands are full. Anyone done any trunk mods to these cars?

Sounds like you have a later 91. Because early 91 convertibles have the pulldown assembly like a regular hatchback. As far as converting from one to the other, you're on your own there.

My 91 doesnt even have the pull down. Maybe it was changed before I got it although it was a one owner car before I bought it.

IIRC The later 91-92 pull downs used the same mounting points as the non pull down from 1982-85 or 86, the pulldowns from 87-90 are huge in comparison...

Re: Trunk motor on 91-92?
I bought a pulldown motor for mine YEARS ago, mounted it up, and saw the proper connector was back there so I plugged it in. The tonneau release solenoids started clicking like crazy. I guessed that, at least for my car, ASC pulled power for the solenoids from the trunk release switch circuit or something. I put the factory latch back in and the motor has been sitting on a shelf for almost a decade.
