Have been in talks with the owner and have the opportunity to purchase this car. He is enjoying it this season and next summer he intends to sell. Have been trying to find other Jade Verts but have only found one sold in 2014 out of Ohio and member shr00ms car. Look forward to making the trip up and driving back.

Nice find and good luck with the purchase! Definitely not a color I recall seeing but I like it!
Thanks; car is 1 of 30(IIRC) Jade Verts made in 92'. Needs a little TLC but overall in good shape and best of all, no rust.
Plan is to clean it up and put it back to as factory as possible. Motor was rebuilt not long ago with some forged internals and a small cam. Will source out a numbers correct motor and save it to be swapped back eventually.
I'm still a year out from picking it up but was just too excited to not post about it. Have been wanting a Vert' for a very long time. In the meantime, I will be sourcing parts and learning what I can about the Verts.

The most flattering car colors for later model TA verts IMO. Hope the year goes fast. I don't know if I could hang like you're gonna have to. That's just cruel!

I know, believe me. I lost a couple nights of sleep because I couldn't stop thinking of what I'm going to do to it. Not even mine yet.

Not going to celebrate just yet; not till I drive it away. I will try to take many pictures of the road trip. I'm just glad it has cruise control and working a/c because having the top down in July in Florida is brutal. I hope not either, you ran into quite a bit the further you dug into it.

Looks like I may be getting the car in January or February. Unfortunately, COVID has made everything more difficult this year. With the border being shut down, I cannot fly up there and drive the car back like intended. Looking into having it shipped but the best quote I received was for $2250. I have never had a car shipped before but from what others have paid it is a bit more $$. Wondering if having to go through customs is why that is. Anyone have any suggestions for shipping? Thanks.
I used Ship-a-car Direct to bring my car from FL to CA. Was a little pricier than some of the competitors, but they had much better reviews at the time.

Looks like they only ship within the states. $2250 is probably a fair price to ship from Canada to FL.
Mackie only has enclosed haulers and it is $3200CDN + fees and taxes to have it shipped. Will keep looking. One thing that will save me some hassle and money is that the car is originally from the U.S.
Yes, enclosed trailers. Wouldn't put my car on an open trailer.
$3,200 US is about $2,500 US. I don't know where is coming from, so can't speak to if that is expensive.
If it was Toronto to Miami, I would say it's a fair price, but again, I wouldn't put my car on an open trailer. Maybe see if they offer a better price if the load isn't full.

Perhaps I'm being cheap?? I would rather have it enclosed as the trailer will flip up all the salt in the road this time of year.

Was there really 1,807 convertibles in '92? I thought it was somewhere closer to 663 for '92. Maybe I'm remembering info incorrectly. I'll have to find that thread.

Yes. Although I thought it was called either Jade Metallic or Green Gray Metallic.
I called a shipping company today to see about shipping it via sea. Per whatever law, they cannot ship a U.S. made car from Canada back to the U.S. That makes no sense so, by truck it is. Scheduled for mid-march.

Date keeps getting pushed back due to these snow storms. I'm hoping they are able to pick it up this week but looks like there is another storm sweeping through the north.

What's a "snow storm"? Is that when you can't put the convertible top down?
Arrived today. Took my wife and then my father out for a ride. They loved it. Not perfect, but for what I paid for it, and being from Nova Scotia I figured it might have rust. Only rust I could find was on the muffler and a couple small screws. Other than that, clean.
Bro, I am sooooo happy for you (and a bit jelly). I love that color. Totally stoked you were able to get this whole ordeal completed. Looking forward to seeing your updates.

Thanks man, haha. The color is what made me go for it. It looks great but definitely not perfect. Also something robbing power, need to figure that out.
What are you up against? My advice is to give the car a solid look over and write down everything you see or plan to do. That way you can organize your plan so you don't forget things later, or so you can knock out related areas at once to prevent rework.

Yeah I have been. In december I found a really nice set of 91-92 T/A tails for cheap. Glad I bought them because it definitely needed them. Car idles and cruises great, but something is robbing power. Will need new window and door seals. Some interior pieces. I have yet to lift the car up off the ground to look, but from what I can see, looks great. I've already started a list like you said, good advice!
Need to buff and polish the new ones a little more.

It has been a while since I updated this thread. I've done a few things to bring it back up to par. Has been a great car thus far.
Back in November I also purchased another Jade Vert...this time with leather interior. It needs a fair bit more work than the 1st one I bought, still overall in decent shape.
In search of the 92' specific tan interior bits. What is the correct name for it? Beige? Light brown?
