Cuts out and no power

I drained as much of the old gas out as I could and replaced the fuel filter. I noticed 1 injector looks funny. Please look at the picture and tell me what you think. Car cuts out and will sputter at 25 mph

Injector is missing a o ring. Could that cause problems?

Re: Cuts out and no power

If your looking for a stock plug and play injector I would recommend the Bosch III available at www.Southbayfuelinjectors.com . That is where I purchased mine (they will give you a discount if your a member here) and I have no complaints but there are many options out there, but choose wisely, it is not exactly a fun job replacing them so quality is a must IMO. There is actually a pretty decent write up in the how to section as well if your interested. Injectors are a popular topic on here so you can literally read tons of reviews of various brands etc.

Thank you, I am not sure my injectors are bad . I don't like the way that one looks and thought I would start and just change all of them out. I am new to the 3rd Gen cars and will learn how to work on it.

You can use a multimeter to do a resistance check to see if the electrical part of the injectors are functioning properly. Set the meter for OHMs, pull the connector plug off the top of the injector and place the probes on the 2 terminals. You should have a reading between 14-17. You should perform this test when the injectors are hot, or the car is warmed up. You are looking for consistency across all injectors. If Tuned Performance is right, you have a mismatch in injectors already. You won't be able to tell by looking @ the injector if it is even the proper one for your engine.
