Convertible Top Restoration
Convertible Top Restoration
New to Convertibles....bought used Tan canvas/cloth top in rough condition. It is extremely dirty with grime and mold. Could I dye it Black without cleaning?. The plastic rear window is brittle and cracked with large hole. Looks like it is stitched in...no zipper. Has anyone tried to restore a canvas/cloth top and replace plastic window?

Do yourself a favor, get a new top. You will never be happy with that. I would reccomend a stayfast (canvas) top with a glass window. You will have nothing but grief with that top that you have.
