91 TA WS6 Vert
91 TA WS6 Vert
I am having a little trouble finding specific production numbers for my car. I am trying to get a feel for how rare it may be. Any help would be greatly appreciated:
1991 TA WS6 convertible
(were all 555 WS6s?)
TPI
Automatic
Dark green metallic, camel top
Electric everything including camel color leather seats.
Gold honey comb wheels.
(In the barn..20 years....kept running....needs a few things....)
That's the general info.
How rare is my car?
Thanks in advance

Re: 91 TA WS6 Vert
Compnine, an online database that has records for many of these vehicles and is the only way to "sort" the data, shows 548 - 1991 Trans Am Convertibles in their database. So that's the figure we have to start with.
Of the 548, 373 have the WS6 option
Of the 373, 65 of them have the 45 Green color code
Of the 65, 63 of them have the tan top
Of the 63, all 63 had the gold PW7 wheels
Of the 63, 58 had the tan leather
Keep in mind, beyond the official total production numbers by GM, these figures are "3rd party" as GM did not keep track of options on top of options. That, and given some record loss, there is no guarantee that the figures are 100% correct. They can be used as a guide.

Re: 91 TA WS6 Vert
Oh wow....ok..."optima" seats. In 1991 $780 was a rather pricey option. Cool for me I guess....depending on how many of the 375+- WS6 verts got the option.
Thanks for the reply. I let go of my 1st car 10 years ago and regret it. (68 GTO Vert HO400.... had it since 16....60 now....)
My TA .....never going to let go it.
just starting to ask questions about it.....
Thanks again.

Re: 91 TA WS6 Vert
According to compnine, 395 had those seats.
I let go of my first TA in 1980. Bought it new in 76.
My brother totaled it.
Bought this one in December as a weekend car. My bride of 33 years said OK. Im 68.
I wanted something older, but the older ones that don't need work are too much momuch, and the older ones that need work are too much money too.
I also have a 71 Cheyenne shortbed im going to try to start a frame off resto this year...
