I've started printing this off. It's 34 pieces should take a couple weeks. Then test fitting and adjustments, probably on the fly to get fitments quicker. Then I'll print up a final version after all fitment issues are sorted.
I probably won't give this away for free, but it'll be nice to not be embarrassed of my trans am with a camaro spoiler.
Pla for testing. Superglued. Then as I get to the final print I may fiberglass it. I might just skim coat it. It’s not like a door or bumper so it shouldn’t need much.
when I start the rear front fender (91-92) ground effects prints I’ll definitely fiberglass those.
Ive already changed the design after the first piece. So it hopefully won’t be a ridiculously long process. I’m motivated to get rid of the ugly asc spoiler.
Getting closer need to map the tonneau better, attachment and work out the cutout for opening the trunk…
Edit: 9/17/25 Update: Clearanced for Trunk and Tonneau to open. Time for another print round to find any other issues.

Looks like this is final design. Printed off the driver side and fits as expected. I haven't pulled the OEM spoiler yet, but when I do I'll rework the back corners to have hardware to fit oem bolt holes. Also will check the trunk level fit, but even if off fiberglassing and filler can get the final shape even better than it is with some manual work.
Very nice work! That is gonna take a LOT of time to print, but hopefully the final result is worth it!
Have you considered utilizing a belt printer like the CR-30 to reduce the number of parts and post processing?
It's probably 80-100 hours to print. I'm in no hurry.
There's connections that press fit together on all the parts. So far it's holding together very well.
I'll use superglue to press into place together on car for best fit on the curves. Then fiberglass/sand/fill. Don't foresee much labor really at all. Again, I'm in no hurry. Right now it's all black from a plastidip paint job, but it's needing to be redone. I don't want to paint the car yet and if I attach this spoiler, it's going to look like this clown car again:

Re: ASC Trans Am Spoiler 3D Print
To be honest this is turning out a lot cooler than I thought it would when you first brought this idea up. I like it. Makes the car look like a Firebird and not a Camaro.
One thing I wanted to bring up is that is a lot of unsupported span between the fenders on the back part of the aero wing. Are you going to be running a 3rd brake light? If so maybe, you can print a housing for it that is also a center support for the back of the aero wing.

Im planning to tackle the very front attachment area and the back lip of the trunk/brake light area after removal of the OEM spoiler.
what I have so far should look good (I hope) when attached as is to allow me to drive it in the meantime and not feel like I’m driving a jalopy.
Also as far as center support with enough fiberglass layers there should be no need for actual support. depending on how I work out the trunk lip and light will determine if I have one. It may be a low box or a support style but recessed to not screw up the visual lines.
Another angle. When actually installed it will lower a lot.
the attachment is about 2” lower and the angle will drop it another 1” or so. Should resemble the OEM TA spoiler but altered to stick out a couple inches out back.
Very cool. I always wanted to do this style of spoiler with a little lip on the top rear kinda like the 85-90 spoiler.
Give it a little downforce that way.

That was the plan. A mix of early and year correct. It still is but it’s less early and more year correct.
I really wanted that rear top edge profile of the early ones but I couldn’t get it to work.
the angle of the wing should give downforce as is.

Any thoughts to a flush mounted LED strip along the length of the spoiler
I did think of that. Problem is the wiring would have to go through the entire spoiler annd down the legs or have ann ugly center pedestal and the trunk would need to be rewired also.
then the trunk itself has an indent and hole where the light is OEM. So that would have to be worked anyway.
