Weak tonneau hinge?

Hello! As the title states, the tonneau cover on my '89 GTA is weak compared to the other 3 convertibles I've owned. On a slight incline, or with a slight drafty wind, the cover will close on me while raising or lowering the top. Is this something that can be adjusted?

Re: Weak tonneau hinge?

Mine's the same way, though not as bad, but it lifts about 6" when i pop it, then drops to about 2". Anyway, i tried "adjusting" the 4 bolts by the torsion bars, but it mostly affects the tonneau/trunk gap. Wish i had better info.
Car looks really mint btw.
