cars overheating
i changed the fluid in the rad, cause it was old and a little low, so then i was still overheating, looked at the fans, not working, either, just know i checked the wires to them, when the car was in acc, the driver side fan was getting power, the pass wasnt, i think this is cause the on fan doesnt come on till a certain temp. anyway, my question is, is there anything else it could be or is it that the always on fans motor is burned out?
also, when does the oter fan come on, in celcius if possible, the gauge in my car is in celcius(Canadian), thanks
its a 90 5.7

The fan doesn't come on till 240 F (you will have to convert) On the v8 there are two fans if you have A/C. Does a fan come on when you turn on the A/C. Check for leaks and do a coolent FLUSH. You may want to install a lower fan temp switch. Hypertech makes one and is sold by summit. If your losing coolent and you can't see an external leak then you may have a internal crack. Pull your dip stick and see if the oil level is higher then normal which means you have an internal water leak

Are you overheating while driving or at idle. If while driving then then it's not the fans. CHECK for a PLUGGED radiator or soder bloom closing up the radiator tubes.
radiator is fine, fluid is new and topped up, i only have probs at idle, neither fans come on, the one fan does get power when the engine is on, but the fan does not turn
ground the relay coil wires (F below) on the relay harness.. you might have to splice another wire into the thin black ground wire.. and ground that one.... see if the fans come on then... if they do. then the problem is in ur ECM or fan switch..

i would take the relays off and hook a separate jumper wire on the always hot and the ground to see if your motors work.
that will make sure your motors are working..
after that with the relays off use that diagram above and check the voltages on the connectors...
