Fan only runs when the car is on.

I've noticed that when I turn my car off after running her all night, the fan isn't kicking on. when the key is turned over, the fan kicks on, but if the car is off then it wont. Does anyone know the cause of this???

The fan power is full-time, it's direct fed via fusible link off the batt positive at the starter. It's the relay pull voltage that's switched. The relay can't close without it, so no fans.

my fan is wired up via toggle switch so it stays running when the car is off, until I turn the switch off. There's really no point in running the fan if the car is off though, unless you're overheating.
