Leak at Thermostat housing

I just had a new radiator installed and had the shop put in a new thermostat and radiator cap.
Now when it gets hot in stop-go traffic the 220-250 zone I get a small coolent leak right at the seal where the thermostat housing is. Im not sure if the shop put a new gasket on when they installed the new thermostat or not.

What should I do? Is this something I should try to fix myself or should I bring it back to the shop and have them try to fix the leak. Or is this not that big a deal since the leak so small.

Any suggestions greatly appriciated.

Steve

To be sure, do it yourself. There could be many things that are cuasing the leak. They may have used the original gasket. It's possible that they might not all of the old gasket off when putting the new one on.

Just take it off, buy an new gasket($0.99), clean the housing really good, put a little sealant on both sides(not neccessary) and wholla. At least at this point, you know it's been done right.

Well if you paid someone to fix it, then you should take it back and have them correct it. No sense in getting your hands dirty

fix it yourself, it is so simple to do. hands wont get dirty at all i dont even use a gasket, just some hightemp RTV. it works just as good. just put some on the housing and put it back on.

Get rid of the chinesium factory water outlet and put a cast iron one on it. Those factory POSs always warp and leak, usually from using too thick gaskets ajnd/or overtightening the bolts.
