a/c delete?
Did any of our cars come a/c delete? I am removing my a/c and need to complete the heater fan blower ducting. Does anyone have any info for this? or should I just fab up a duct from sheet aluminum..

Yeah the 1LE cars had the AC delete option. There is a bunch of info and pictures on this subject if you search for it. Mainly there was a website that use to sale the AC delete box for 70 bucks but he ran out of items to sale. I would personally check junk yards first, you might get lucky. They do have them on ebay often but idiots on there bid them up to outrageous prices usually. I've seen just the cover part go for over 100 bucks before shipping and it had rust on it even.

Well gentlemen todays trip to the boneyard went well. I found a car with that option and it hadnt been touched yet. It even had the stock blower and wire harness. I swiftly removed it and ran like I had won lotto. Total damage to the wallet a mere 10 dollars.SWEET. THANK YOU for the info I think I can now drop in the stroker. See me on the streets Kevin L.

Way to go man, I still need to go searching for one too when ever I get the time.... just too busy here lately... + junk yards usually ripe me off.
can you believe that i went to a local junkyard and he said the 15 years he has been the owner he has never seen just a standard heater box for thirdgens..

It works. I hooked it up today. It also looks like I will finally have enough room for my tall roller rocker valve covers.

Congrats on the find
However, you don't need to remove the A/C to run tall valve covers.
I have Moroso stamped steel tall covers in my 91 Formula with the A/C intact. It is a little tight but I can pop the valve covers without a problem to adjust lash while I'm at the track.
