I posted earlier about the value of flushing a radiator. I had taken my car to a mechanic to check out my overheating problem. Long story short he told me to flush the radiator and replace the thermostat. Now when I took off the thermostat housing I noticed one of the most interesting things I've ever seen. After owning this car for about a week (I point this out due to the shear stupity of what I am about to say) I find that the thermostat housing is empty. That's right NO THERMOSTAT. Now what kind of idiot would remove the thermostat and not put another one in.
