Would headers keep things cooler?

Would headers keep things cooler?

I recently read an article that talked about having headers, and it reducing detonation because the combustion chamber stays cooler. Would this keep my overall coolant temperature cooler? If so, by how much?

i have heard of coated headers keeping the engine bay cooler but not the engine coolant itself.

I'm trying to find other ways of keeping my engine cooler. Ever since I put the ProCharger in, the intercooler has been keeping too much air away from the radiator. I can't really afford to change to the twin intercooler setup right now. Any other ideas?

If you're running a blower and choking the exhaust with iron manifolds, it will run hotter than with headers. Exhaust efficiency is where it's at for blown apps.

Jet-Hot coated headers keep some pretty good heat in the exhaust and out of the engine bay in my experience.

That makes sense. I'll have to start pricing out some headers.
