Cooling issues with Ram Air Intake

Hey guys just the other day I installed a ram air setup in my 92 z28. I put the duct work from the fog light inlets straight up into the intake assembly. By doing this I had to remove the air deflector behind the fog lights and in front of the radiator. To get to my point, lately I feel like my car is running hot. I am figuring it is because that air that used to go throught my front grill to the radiator is now going to my intake. My fans don't kick on until I turn on the a/c or heater and only then the primary comes on. I am running near 225 0r 230. It seems to be hotter under the hood than it was before. Is this normal or should think about hooking up a fan switch, I also looking into adding a coolant additive like purple ice from royal purple. Whats up with this?

I can't remember, but i believe that year car ran about 220 or so. but if you feel like it has been running hotter. See if you can put you air damn from the radiator back on. If not, try putting the stuff from royal purple in.

Thanks for the post, Its just weird that my car seems to run hotter. I might just be me but I could have sweared that it was running around 195 or so. Ive been driving aroud lately and it seems to be running cooler especially so if I run the a/c. the car stays constant at aroun 180-185.
