Installed NEW H20 pump, radiator, and Hypertech fan switch, temp PEGGED!!!!

Today I installed my new aluminum water pump, radiator, AND Hypertech colling fan switch (on at 210 off at 180). And now my temp gauge is pegged and won't go down! What could of happened, or gone wrong? As far as I know everything went OK. Right now I only have 100% water, tomorrow I will drain and put the correct mixture in. Is there anything special I should do with a new cooling system? I drove it about 30 miles with the temp pegged and nothing was smoking or EXTREME heat. The temp gauge went from 100 to 300 (this is the stock gauge) in like 1 second. And when I turn on the car after it is cool, it is stuck there. I think maybe something happened with the temp sender. Where exactly is it located? The fan never came on so my guess is that the temp never made it past 210. Anything from you guys? Thanks

It seems like as soon as the temp sensor gets water, it pegs....

Someone on this board said that used to happen to them.... Tap the instrument cluster a few times, it sounds like it is stuck..

usually when the spring in the guage breaks it will peg the needle. If you have WinALDL run that and let us know what it is showing. Most likely it's the guage though.
