ram air hood=cooler bay?
For those that have the ram air 2 or raptor hoods...if you make them semi functional, to where they bring cool air into the engine bay, have you noticed any cooling differences?

cowl hoods actually work better for bay cooling.
most people actually run warmer coolant temps when they put on a cowl or ramair hood because they forget to block/seal off the area between the top of the radiator and the bottom of the hood up front. If this isn't sealed, then you lose a lot of airflow through the radiator.
TPI camaros don't run into this problem so much because that area is already well sealed in most cases.

you wouldnt have a pic of what you described have you? I have the cowl and a open element someone once suggested to seal the hood somewhere so the cowl air goes to the filter... is that what your talking about?

Does anyone with a ram air 2 hood have a tbi? If so, were you able to make the ram air functionable or did mu jsut do an open filter?
