Hi, I have a fan/service engine light related problem

Please help,
I have a 94 Camaro Z-28. My problem is as follows:
. I believe my computer sends a code to turn on my fan ( too early )
. Than my service engine light goes on same time.
. The only time the fan stops is when I have my foot on the brake on a complete stop and the service engine light goes off.
. Once I let off the brake and go the cycle repeats itself.

Please help me with your knowledge, this car is my baby.

I am afraid little or zero people will be able to help you here. This is a third generation website not a fourth. In 92 was the end of the "F" body or third generation. Its worth a shot though.

All 4th gen ECM/PCM modules will turn on the primary fan ANYTIME an engine code is detected. Read the code, repair the problem and the fan will not go off prematurely. Couple of things come to mind as I edit, see if the code is set after a certain speed. If it throws the code after about 35 mph check the EGR system, however that is usually a hard code and won't go out once it's set. Second, is it an automatic? If it is an electronic or "E" transmisssion you may not be getting torque converter lock. You may have a bad TCC solenoid in the trans or something in the wiring.
