Temp gage sending unit

The dash Temp Gage for my 91 Z28 Camaro 305 TPI stopped working and I know the wire has come off the sending unit but am unable to locate the sending unit to plug the wire back on....Could someone tell me where the unit is located.
Thanks.....Rod in San Jose

The temp sending unit is mounted on the drivers side near the # 1 spark plug. You might have to feel around a bit to find it. It has a single wire connector that just slides over the unit.
