Overflow tank?

I am not over heating but when I shut my car off the water in the overflow tank boils. What could cause this?

Have you flushed or drained the system lately? This will often times happen if you have air trapped in the system. It's not boiling, it's trapped air escaping.

There are a couple of other causes for this overflow to be bubbling up. If the radiator cap is worn out, it can also cause the overflow to bubble up and fill up, since it is not holding correct pressure in the radiator. The only other time that I have seen bubbling in the overflow was when a customer had a head gasket leak.
Does the car overheat at all? If so, it might be a good idea to invest the $3.50 into a new cap.

It does not over heat at all gets to about 210 maybe but that is about it and it only has one stock fan right now. the other is in my trunk. also the one fan is wired to the ing so it is on all the time when the car is. This is the way I got the car 3 weeks ago.
