Temp sensor too low

Hi guys, im really stuck on this on! My car runs about 220-230 degrees but im gettting trouble code 15 which is low coolant temp. This puts the car into closed loop operation adn the car will barely run. I wont pass emissions wit hit this way and i really dotn know what to do. I was told i need to replace the sensor and im gonna do that but after that if it doesnt work where do i go?

Thanx

The gauges use a different sender than the ECU. The sender is bad, or your wiring is shorted to ground. IIRC it is yellow and black wires going to the sender you need to check.

you're going to laugh because this is horrible. the connector was broken; we were hoping it would not slip out. It did, and we never checked it. It is fixed now, tho, lol
