Radiator price question

What's the typical price for a replacment radiator for a 3rd gen Camaro? I've got a 92 RS wit ha 305 TBI. I don't know what number or model the radiator might be.

While I'm asking for prices, how much does a high flow radiator run for typically, and what are some good brands?

I'm not asking because the car is running hot, thats just a camaro thing, but I was going down the road and it kept getting hotter and hotter and it got very very very hot (antifreezse boiling hot) and when I pulled over you woulda thought I had set off a smoke bomb under the hood. I had busted one of the tanks on my radiator. After further inspection I saw that my other tank was fixin to bust as well.

One final question, is there any way to keep all that crud from building up between my A/C and radiator? I never even thought about that happening until I looked in there. From now on I'm gonna clean that out occasionally, but is there any way to keep it from fillin up anyway?

I've purchased a new GM replacement radiator for around $120 in the past. A high flow/performance radiator will vary in price depending on brand and model.

Griffin (griffinrad.com) makes a universal fit radiator (19x31) that fits our cars with some minor tweaking. No heater or trans connections, but there are work-arounds for that. Price is $189 thru Summit. They also make a direct fit version that runs around $450. This will have the necessary connections.

Be Cool (becool.com) also makes a direct fit radiator with all the connections. It runs $589 thru Summit.

There is also a seller on eBay that has a huge selection of performance radiators. Their price is $299 for a direct fit 3rd gen radiator – http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33602 or http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ategory=33602. I just picked one of these up for my GTA.

As far keeping the crud out from between the raditor and A/C condenser, the best solution is probably just to do periodic inspection.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Holy cow, I have to replace my rad in my '85 Z28 here in the UK.
Calling round all the dealers, best price so far for an original GM part?
280 GB pounds.
That's about $480. And you guys think you've got it tough!
