Is the fan pressure switch the one on the pass. side head? If so where is the fail safe switch located at?

Yeh I mint Temp. not pressure. I was told there was a fail safe switch from a post in the DIY Prom. Wasn't sure if it was a diffrent switch on some cars, or maybe built into on of the other two temp sensors. It's always better to ask I deffently dont' know everthing.

Yes, it is better to ask. I usually just try things with out asking and that usually means that I have to do it at least 5 times, and after that I have to ask someone who knows how its done

It varies, depending on exactly what car you're talking about. A look at the wiring diagram for the specific year & engine might help to avoid confusion.

In the case of your '92 B4C, you should have dual fans. The primary fan is ECM controlled, and the secondary fan is activated by the temp switch, or by an A/C pressure switch. I suppose you could consider that as "fail safe" in that the secondary will still function even if the ECM takes a dump. (IMHO, to be truely considered fail safe, there'd have to be a backup system on the primary fan as well)

With other years & models of thirdgens, it varies. Some have no provision at all for ECM control over the fans. IOW, there is no backup system.
