Fan wires

On my son's 1989 firebird he just bought, someone has cut the wires to the fan and wired them to a switch (which isn't there anymore for some reason). The fan switch on the right side of the engine was broken, and I suspec the previous owner (idiot) didn't know how to fix it so they just wire the fan to a switch. Anyway, we're replacing the fan switch, and I know where the relay is. My question is, where is the wire that goes from the relay to the fan? Is it on the left side of the engine bay or the right side? I haven't been able to find it yet.

Thanks,

John.

Hey John! i have an 86 and 87 camaro and on both the wire comes from the passenger side of the engine bay, but if i remember correctly the wire does not come from the the relay itself. they are in a wiring harness that is close by. ill take a look at my car real quick and check! be right back!

So, that's on the driver side, right? The same bundle that has the headlights and horn? On the passenger side, the only harness that goes to the front is the one that has the wires that go to a terminal that has a wire that goes to the positive side of the battery.

What color is the wire to the fan?

I found it. Passenger side. It had been clipped and left there. Fan works now.
