Heater core question

I have a 87 5.7 TPI system in my 87 Caprice Classic.
I am not sure how to hock up the heater core. The motor seems to only have one hose out, unlike the carb motor that had 2.
Can anyone tell me how I can connect my heater core to this type of system?

in the f-bodys, the other hose went to the radiator

if you have no spot in the rad for the heater hose, lots of replacement water pumps have the port like the old SBC's, I just got one from murray's auto parts for $18 that had the port

Cool, that explains it. thanks! I went over that motor for hours looking for that other hole.
I think my water pump is a reverse direction type so I'm not sure it the old type would work or not.
Do you know if it would work the same if I added a pip with a T inlet to the uper rad hose?
Thanks again for answering, this was really starting to frustrate me.

yes, a tee to the upper hose would work, lower hose would be better,

as for the W/P, go to a local parts store, have them pull you a pump for your car, look at it to see if it has the port

other hose goes to rad on F body

I had my 4 core rad modified today. $25.00

I should have her running by the end of the week thanks to the help I am getting on this board.

I will post some pitchers after I'm all done.
