coolant in the car

i went washed my car this morning, got home, went to start vacuming, and found that i had coolant dripping from under console on the passenger side. i dont know why either, the thing that is really throwing the curve ball is, its like bright green, like fresh out of the bottle. but coolant thats in the over flow is about a month old, so its not real bright green anymore, know what i mean. so any ideas on why this is goin on? and ideas on how to fix it?

Worse case... the heater core has gone on it, but sometimes the clamp on the hoes to the heater core can come lose and allow coolant to flow into the cab of the car. check the hoses, if the clamps are tight and the hoses look fine, it's time for a heater core.

When my heater core went the coolant ended up in the passgenger foot well.

It wasn't too bad though. I took a shamy and soaked it up and had the lines re routed back into the block. The heater core can wait since I don't drive her in the winter.

yeah i have the same problem. im guessing mine is a crack because i think it runs out the crack it has, then onto the pan and thats what makes my car steam up when i turn it on. it also smells like antifreeze inside my car from time to time.

For you guys that had the problem, how often did it leak? I am trying to troubleshoot a similar leaking problem (pass floor), but it happens so rarely its hard to pinpoint the problem. I would think if my heater core was busted it would leak anytime I drive the car or use the heater or A/C. But sometimes I can drive it around all day blasting heater and A/C and there is no leak. Other times I dont use the heater or A/C and there's a puddle in the morning. I also suspect a possible hole in the body of the car, but again, the leaking isnt consistent with when it rains so its hard to pinpoint.
