AC compressor clutch

AC compressor clutch

when i bought my '87 iroc the guy told me that the AC compressor clutch needed replaced, and he gave me a whole compressor that has a good clutch on it. my ? is how do i remove the clutch from the compressor? do i need to get a puller of some sort?

i think it would be a heck of alot easier to replace the whole compressor assy.

its just if i can switch the clutch in my shop it will cost me nothing!
i try to keep the expences down.

NAPA sells a puller to pull the clutch and you don't have to take the copressor off.

Four Seasons PN# 59518 will get you a puller and installer. Be
very careful of the lip seal, it is fragile.

4 Seasons owns Murray and Everco, the 'Big 3" aftermarket a/c
companies......I sell the puller for $27 and change.
