Which water neck?
Im replacing my T-stat so I figured I'd get a cheap chrome water neck, but summit has me a bit confused. Sometimes the pictures are just generic ones on file and sometimes they are an actual picture of it. Anyway, I need a 90 degree that points towards the drivers side and I can't seem to find what I need. The summit brand ones are like $10-$15 which is what I'd like to get. Anyone order a cheap replacement and have the part number?

I highly recomemnd NOT getting a cheap chrome one. They are prone to leaking due to a not so flat base and the chrome doesnt last very long either. if there is nothing wrong with your then just clean it up and throw it back in there.

Like was said already...get a cheap chrome one and you will regret it later. They warp under the heat. I went and got me the good ole cast iron one from carquest. No it isn't the prettiest one around but it has NEVER leaked yet.

These guys are right. I have a Mr. Gasket chrome one from Summit, and it will not stop leaking. I have tried just about everything I can think of, but nothing works. New o-ring, new thermostat gasket, RTV, etc. It's just not worth it.
I'd highly suggest painting the stock one, or if you really want chrome, see if you can find a local chrome shop to chrome the stock piece for you. I can't see chroming a stock thermostat housing costing all that much.
