Help!! I'm making my own gravy.

It's 94 degrees today and I can't shut the heat off. I've changed the vacuum control in the center console. The wire that slides in and out on the temp control slides. I believe the other end of the wire goes to the heater core. So I gots to find where the heater core is. It may be unhooked. If that doesn't do it I'll put a ball valve in the heater hose to stop the flow.
So how do I get to the heater core? All info will be appreciated. savoo

Passenger side, under the dash againts the fire wall.

If you look from the engine side you can see where 2 hoses go into the fire wall. That is where the heater core is. You can just get an elbow to join those 2 hoses together and divert the flow until you can figure out what the problem is.
