Installing Manual Fan Switch

Hey guys i have a question, how hard is it to install a manual fan switch? and with the manual fan switch does that mean that once i flip it on the fan should turn on right away or does it have to be at a certain temp.?

I have my fan wired so that I have complete control over it. A lot easier/more reliable IMHO. All ya need is the wire (forget what gauge, not that big though), a few crimp connectors, and a toggle switch.

Power source

Where and how .. exactly.. do ya guys get the power source for the switch ? Stick a wire inside the fusebox ... I mean the wire from the battery doesn't seem like the no.1 idea to me

I have mine wired up with a switch inline with the ground of the car hooked to the relay.
Car still has computer control over the fan but I can switch on either fan at any time.

This is how I did mine, ran a wire from each relay, tapped into the green wire on each relay, ran into the car to the switches, then from the switches to a ground on the chassis.

I did the same as zeph, but spliced straight into the fan switch ground wire at the head sensor. Mine is mounted in the center console, but soon will be in the roof center console.

Didn't need power since the relay has a 12V ignition power already there, all we are doing is supplying the ground which is done by the ECM for the Primary fan and the Temp Switch in the pass head for the Secondary fan.
