I have a 4th gen and I think that they may be slightly smaller across. Push come to shove you could fab up a stock unit, but I'd check your local auto part stores and see if you can get an aftermarket one that won't break your wallet.

A new factory rep. radiator is only like ~$125. Not sure I would trust a junkyard radiator unless you REALLY have to.

good point.

I'm not too sure I'd trust a junked one, considering you never know how long it's been sitting and what's managed to creep into it.

The 4th gen is narrower but taller than the 3rd gen. I tried to use a 4th gen with my LT1 swap, but couldnt get it mounted to my satisfaction without some cutting and welding of the core support to drop the rad down an inch or two, so I stuck with the 3rd gen.

i got my 4th gen radiator in by cutting a hole (about an inch) on the bottom support to get the radiator to lay in there flat. There is a piece on the 4th gen radiator that sticks out. Then i used a 4th gen radiator shroad and cut it up a little bit and cut behind it. It also allowed me to use the dual fans which are ferociously fast.

And here in nebraska it seems to be the other way around, thirdgens in junkyards but no 4th gens. At least it was that way last summer.

Figured I'd make a funny, lol.

Where I live 4th gen radiator are scarse in the junkyards. Some auto salvage places that don't let the public rape the cars may have an OEM replacement. Kinda stinks cause some parts would be easier to to just get as scrap or 5-finger discount than pay out the **** for.

mine fit right in with using a 93-97 radiator support cover.
no modifying at all. had 2 drill a couple holes to mount the top plastic piece, that was it.
radiator hoses are of a different size, so its not a direct swap.

i have a new stock replacement from advance with a lifetime warranty if you havent found one.
its less than a year old.
40+ shipping.
