What temp to program the PROM at for fans?

Need opinions on this setup, help me out?
I have a 355 with some mods (heads, cam, holley stealth ram, etc). I have a single fan right now that I want to replace with a dual fan setup. I believe the dual fan will flow more air so I'm just going to wire them in parallel- so they both turn on/off at the same time. Would it be plausible to have the fans completely controlled by the ECM since I'm burning a custom PROM for it. So does that make sense or should I pick up a fan switch? Also, if I were to plug the fan switch hole, what size are the threads/what length, etc? I don't really want a manual switch since it's just a hassle for a daily driver.
