Haha, well thats pretty simple. So, what size holes we talkin here? Quarter inch? smaller? Larger? And do I drill in the outer flange, or snake the holes into the inner, "valve" part? Sorry for complicating the fairly simple issue, but I like to very thorough with my third-gen. (only transportation)

Thanks,
Max

I've seen anywhere from 1 to 4 holes, usually 1/8" in diameter done. I personally drill one hole.

I drill the hole on the flat disk area, about 1/2 way between the sealing ring and the inner valve portion.

I don't understand why. When I bought my car the thermostat had 1 hole drilled in in. I threw it away
and put a new one in. And why do people put lower temp thermostats in anyway??
