Deflector ? for a 88 GTA
I have a 88 GTA with a blown sbc, I am having a cooling problem with it. I have a electric water pump, a be cool radiator and a restictor plate for a thermostat. I have the deflector that wraps around the whole bumper. Now on my friends GTA he had a deflector that went up towards the radiator. Is this a oem item, and if so where can I purchase it. Any help here would help me out alot. Or if anyone has any other ideas that they can throw in here also. Thanks CHRIS

Sounds like you are talking about the plastic insert that goes behind the nose of the car and angles the air flow toward the radiator. This is an OEM item.
You could try your local dealership and see if they can order one. Your best bet is probably to check out a wrecking yard or or even eBay.
Also, quick question. Why the restrictor plate and not a thermostat?

Yes , it Directs incomming Air into the radiator . You can get a New one at several Parts places .
