removing A/C from a v-belt set-up

i've searched topics but i still feel uncomfortable so i thought i would ask for specific instructions. my first question is do i remove the pully that controls the A/C. (i'm assuming it is the one on the drivers side.) and i'm also in Cali so the smog laws are pretty strict. do i just remove all of the hoses going to/from the A/C canister? if anybody has any specific instructions on what pieces to remove that would be awesome...

Theres alot of threads that cover this
Heres a useful one, only difference is that its for a serpentine setup but its still the same. You will remove the belt for the AC.

PS remember to get the system evacuated before you attempt this.

i have read that thread and it has answered a lot of questions. but, since i run a V belt set-up, do i remove that whole pully set-up? since i don't need it like i would a delete pully in a serp. set-up right? and where do i go to get it evacuated and how much should it cost?

Yeah you take the whole compressor out which has the pulley on it, no need for any kind of delete pulleys. When I got my system evacuated it was like $20, any auto shop should be able to evacuate it.

The chaces of any refridgerant being in the system is slim. Unlike home units, the seals in car systems dry out and leak. Press in port amd see if anything comes out.

All a/c comp have equipment needed, just offer couple of bucks on the side.
