what kind of motor do you have in it?
and when does it stall out, like when you first start it or any time?

My 88 305 TBI was doing the same thing! It all started after I replaced the module I got from Auto Zone in my dist. now that I think of it. Other than that, it runs fine. I found that if I just put a little pressure on the gas peddel, it wouldn't do it so I raised my RPM at idle a couple of hundred thinking maybe the TPS was getting old and worn and I haven't had any more problems. I'm still not sure if it's the module I got or the TPS but it's not doing it anymore.

throttle body sensor wasn't it

My rpm's was high, and it was turning off then, so i went to a mechanic and he said it might be the throttle body sensor. So i bought it and replaced it, i left the rpm's high and it still turned off when tested.. but i toned them down a little and for a day it didnt turn off,,, but now it does again,,,,, so i dont know . somebody has to know,,,,, by the way i still have the stock, 2.8 v6 in mine for now... anyone know what's wrong??

re:

I forgot to answer one of your ?'s.. it will stall out anytime, only in reverse and drive though. Mostly its when the car is warmed up, but a few times it has stalled first thing in the morning....it's unpredoctable, sometimes it will run for 30 seconds, sometimes for 7 (in drive ,pressig the brake)... i dont know, it seems it stalls out more in reverse now too ..... any answers will help out LOTS,,,,,,thx--Chero
