ok ive got a problem

ok so i own an 89 camaro RS

about a month ago the car started leaking radiator fluid so we took it to the shop and they replaced the hoses because we told them thats where it looked to be coming from (im pretty sure they didnt even inspect the problem, they just took our uneducated word for it and installed new hoses). we get the car back from the shop and about a 2-3 days later it is continuing to leak so we take it back and tell them that wasnt the problem. come to find out they installed new hoses for nothing since that wasnt the problem at all. anyways long story short they fixed the outside leak but now it is leaking inside the car from what looks to be the heating area onto the floor of the passanger side.

could this be related to them replacing the hoses? is it the heating core? should we take these clowns to court?

lol,no need to take those guys to court.Looks like your heater core has takin a dump on your passenger floor. If you need a quick fix just reroute a few hoses to delete until you get a new one.

Basically, follow the lines where they run into the firewall. There should be two. Get an elbow of some sort (180*) that is the same diamter as the tubing and run the lines together through the elbow. Basically, youre eliminating the heater core replacing it with the elbow. Pretty straight forward...good luck.

You can take the 2 hoses going into the heater core and join them with a pipe that will fit, one is a little bigger than the other. But a heater core will only run you about 15-20.00 self install. It's really not as hard as some say it to install, just 1 screw than is pita to get at but you save yourself so much by doing it yourself.

I would locate the hose that runs from the radiator to the heater core. Remove the end at the heater core. Remove completely the hose that runs from the heater core to the intake manifold.(save this hose) Then connect the other hose you disconnected first and reconnect this end to the intake manifold fitting. This will eliminate the hassel of buying a fitting.

ok so my dad and i were just outside trying to take care of this problem and we thought we had it when we rerouted a couple hoses with a brass elbow but then it still leaked after about a minute of the car running

is this normal? does fluid just need to filter out? if so how much usually filters out?

is there any diagrams or methods to do this procedure because it seems to be a bit over our heads
