Remove a/c?

My a/c is busted and causing some problems, this may be a longshot but i was wondering if anyone has completely their a/c and used a different belt? I never use it anyway so i wouldnt miss it. And if thats a no, how can you cut it off so it doesnt go at all, i pulled the plug out that is on the top of it but it still goes on,is there another wire? Whenever the A/C is on the idle gets really ruff and something starts banging, thats why i want it out or just not to turn on.

Ok i know my a/c doesnt have any frion, so i can just take off the ac, and that silver canister thing, put on the a/c delete pully, what i want to know is if i can leave the box thats already there and just tie the wires and also leave the condenser in? I may want to put it back in later so i dont want to take it completely apart

you can leave that box in there, its ugly though you can get a standard heater box out of any camaro or firebird, it'll bolt right in or do what i'm doing and taking the box out and running a "plate" over the holes until i track one down at the local bone yard, a/c delete pulley is 45 bucks from gm parts direct and as for the condensor, it takes all ove maybe 20 minutes to pull out, but you cna also leave that in place, wont hurt anything, i pulled mine out

Ok i did it over the weekend, got the pully frmo pepboys, $32 from pepboys special order it took 2 days to get there. I just took off the compressor and put in the pully and removed the lines from the silver canister thing. Im still planning on taking that out too but i didnt have the time and im also going back to take out the condenser. For that i just move the radiator back and just unbolt it right?

Im leaving the box still in probably. Why? Because i dont want to spend the money for the A/C delete box lol and/or i may end up using my a/c again in the future. I dont use it but maybe 5 times in the summer and my gf wants A/C. So im taking the compressor and the condensor out to put in my gf's RS who's compressor doesnt work and condensor is cracked. Arent i such a sweetheart?

...nope because im making her buy the $45 AC delete pulley for me
