TRYING to remove the "RAD"

So yeah, I got a aluminum rad off ebay and I wanted to put it in today. So I disconnected all the hoses, drained the anti freeze, I got off the top feed line for the oil cooler I think. Thought I had it all undone, tried pulling it out and there was another cooler line, maybe the return feed (at the very bottom same side as fill cap) I cant get it from the top (many cuts to prove that) one of the hose connectors is right over it. So I go from underneath (which is also a very tight fit (cooler lines are right underneath the bolt) and the bolt only turned a few times, then it was almost impossible to move either way, now the wrench gets stuck on the bolt and sometimes the wrench just spins by itself, the bolt head doesnt look stripped. I sprayed it with WD and PB and if I cant get it off with the wrench or a adujustable what can I do? Do the sell the bolt ends on the lines? Or would I have to take the whole line off? Which seems almost impossible the quick time I looked were the lines went, cant even get a socket up their to put on the bolt.

Yeah those are actually the tranny cooler lines and yes they are a PITA. Using a line wrench will give you a better hold on the nut and help prevent rounding it off. When I replaced my radiator I actually had to heat the fittings a little bit. Luckily I was at my friend's shop and had access to a torch. One of those hand held propane/MAP gas torches would work too.

From experience, DON'T STRIP THE TRANSMISSION LINES. I could not find any prebent, so had to bend it myself.

Spray that sucker with liquid wrench, and don't worry about spraying it there at all. Than tighten it back in, not hard, just enough to get that liquid wrench in there. Go back in and out a few times. Spray again and repeat.
Just be carefull that you don't strip the bolt. I can't stress that enough.

Good luck.
