Oh great, a leak. Pics included
I take it this isnt good. I noticed it just a bit a while ago but it stayed dry for quite some time. Then I noticed my car was getting hotter than usual and became suspicious. I do have another small leak between the radiator and coolant box but I haven't noticed a difference in the coolant level since winter. The hose just isnt tight enough on the radiator I suppose. So my stab in the dark is this is the heater core, but I could be (usually am) wrong, edit - yeah I'm way off. Looks like the gasket is dying or something. Any idea on what this'll cost me + labor?

do it your self it will cost you a 20$ water pump that comes with new gaskets. cant beat old sbc prices. easy to do just remove some brackets and belts remove pump clean surfaces reinstall new pump and gaskets and reassemble. 2 hour job at most.

thanks for the replies.
Anyway, It wasn't leaking today on the way to/from work and didnt overheat like it did when it was wet and I'm out of cash because it's graduation/prom/tons of other **** season so I haven't gotten many hours at work lately. Last paycheck (weekly) was $60 and that's just about gone now and I got it thursday. Gas prices take a large chunk of that lately

yea just looks like that back plate on the water pump is leaking. possibly fixable without a new pump. but a new pump is like $25 reman and 47$ brand new and remans work jsut fine. doesn't take must to get it done either.

water pump
I had to put a pump on my 92 tpi a couple of weeks ago. I found an aluminum pump on ebay for about $60.00 and it works great. Be sure you get a reverse flow pump since you have tpi.
