I got a 88 gta with a/c problems. We tried adding a charge to it and the clutch sounds absolutely terrible, sounds like my car is gonna blow up...its rattling and grinding but with the a/c off there is no noise....It engages and cycles but doesnt cool and sounds absoluetly terrible. Can I rebuild the compressor or what do I need to do? Its hot with t tops in kansas lol. Money is kinda tight right now, anyone have a good used one for sale? Its a serp belt setup of course, I priced a rebuilt unit from oreillys with a clutch and it was almost 300 bucks I believe plus the r134 to recharge it. Any suggestions?
