My car has been overheating alot here lately found out only one fan kicks on at about 235-240 degrees. I replaced the wire that connects to the temp sensor or whatever it is on the passenger side head. But the passanger side fan still does come on.

So what I am wondering is if I ground terminals A&B like doing diagnostic check will both fans come on?

Also what controls the passanger side fan? I have recently redid the A/C and installed a different A/C compressor the has a different connector could this possible be the problem?

By the way this is a 89 GTA 5.7L. And this has all happened since I replaced the radiator the other cracked and I had to replace.

I was having the same problem and I had my electric guy look at it. He cut and grounded a grn/wht wire (90* sure it was grn/wht) at the fan relay. Now the fan comes on all the time and my car runs at normal temp even on the hottest days.

BTW he already did the same thing to the other fan (both fans now turn on with the engine).

so now both of the fans come on as soon as you start the engine and stay on all the time?

Yeah, as long as the key is in the on position.

does anyone else think they know why the passanger side fan wont come on. I would like to make it back to stock.

Like I said I replaced it with a 90 above compressor. Could that be the problem or is it something else.

I jumped the the ALDL connector A&B and checked to see if the fan was getting power and it wasnt. Any help would be awesome. I really dont want to run my A/C without the fans working.
