Constantly Overheating....

I have an 86 iroc 305 tpi and my heater core recently went, i know that causes coolant to leak so i have to constantly keep filling it, however within the past couple of days everytime i go anywhere, even when im full on fluids i still overheat, do you know what could cause this? I hope its just the heater core that ill be replacing this weekend, but if anyone else can think of what might be causing it please let me know, thank you.

if the cooling system cannot hold pressure it allows the fluid to boil at a lower temp, and this will allow the car to overheat.

what would be making my cooling system not hold pressure, other then the leak from the heater core?

Hey sounds like you should do a pressure test on your cooling system this is the fastest way I know execpt for a good visual you did do a good visual? Also I would put a big piece of card board under the car and let it run for a while and see if you can find anymore interesting wet spots. And don't forget that inexpensive but all important Tstat and radiator cap. I hope its not a head gasket. Hope I HELPED!
