tpi coolant bypass

Hi all was wondering if anyone knew how to bypass coolant for A 305 tpi model. have heard that this will give approx. 5 extra horsepower by keeping throttle body a little cooler. thanks

It may not gain any horsepower but it won't make hot coolant heat up the intake. The intake is already going to be hot though because of heat transfer from the motor but at least it won't be heated further from the coolant. The way I did this was, look at where the coolant lines go from the throttle body. One side goes to the heater diverter valve, the other to the water pump. Remove them. Get a piece of heater hose (I think it's 5/8" and about 2 or 2 1/2 ft. long, trim as needed) and connect one side to the heater diverter valve and the other side to the water pump, effectively bypassing the throttle body.
