Bypassing the heater bypass valve?

Have an 89 IROC. have read previous threads, and done searches but can't find what im looking for. My heater bypass valve broke yesterday, changing valve cover gaskets. I can replace it, but the tubing that runs all over the engine bay are driving me nuts. Is there a way to bypass this valve? If so, does anyone have pictures? A description of how to bypass the valve would be helpful. Thanks
