Bypassing the heater bypass valve?

I have an 89 IROC. I broke my heater bypass valve yesterday, changing the valve cover gaskets. I've done searches, but can't find what im looking for. Is there a way to bypass this valve and all the hoses, that run all over the engine bay? If so how, and any pictures would be great.
